College Ready: 2018 Science Symposium

This symposium is intended to give high school and college ​science educators and administrators a chance to discuss concerns, common practices, and shared goals. Panel discussions will include high school teacher representatives, professors who use or teach science, and those who support students in the transition from high school to college. 

The primary symposium topics will be…

- Fostering inquiry, communication, and confidence.
- Defining essential content, skills, and practices.
- Connecting science to mathematics and literacy.
- Supporting students who want to pursue science-based careers.

Panel discussions will alternate with small group discussions and breakout sessions around the symposium topics. This symposium is targeted for anyone (K-16) who is interested in discussing what it means to prepare children for college.

Registration is $65 and includes lunch.
Participants who are part of the Writing Across the Curriculum ​symposia receive a $10 discount.
