In this yearlong blended online/in-person course we will read Young Children’s Mathematics
and investigate how its ideas and content apply to our own teaching spaces. The course is divided into two parts:
- Book Study Component (September - December) - Monthly meetings and online discussion around the Young Children's Mathematics book, associated videos, and research.
- Action Research Component (January - May) - Investigate an aspect of your teaching practice, related to the concepts and content examined within the book study.
Instructors: Professor Beth Graue and Gwyneth Hughes
