Assessment and the Common Core
Assessment and the Common Core Standards is a three-credit course designed to give K-12 educators (and other school personnel) a background in understanding the Common Core State Standards and how they can be aligned with formative, summative, and performance- based assessments in diverse classroom settings. Participants will engage in various learning activities through which they will discuss various aspects of the Common Core State Standards, work in professional learning communities to develop assessment ideas, modify existing classroom assessments to better align with the Standards, and develop multiple evaluative tools for a variety of developed assessments.
