College Ready: 2016 Mathematics Symposium

This symposium is intended to give high school and college mathematics educators and administrators a chance to discuss concerns, common practices, and shared goals. Panel discussions will include high school teacher representatives, professors who use or teach math, and those who support students in the transition from high school to college.

The primary symposium topics will be…

  • Laying expectations: the role of standards and requirements.
  • What mathematics do we teach and why?
  • How do we teach mathematics and why?

Panel discussions will be interspersed with small group discussions with attendees around the symposium topics. This symposium is targeted for anyone (K-16) who is interested in discussing what it means to prepare children mathematically for college.

Registration is just $40. Lunch will be provided.
